Recent History

Following an extensive refurbishment in 2020, we opened with state of the art features.

Environmentalism

Since 2015 our centre invested in several energy saving measures, resulting in lower energy bills and a smaller carbon footprint. This includes a thermal pool cover which insulates the pool when not in use, and low- energy lighting with waste-reducing sensors. SunRG, a local company along with funds from Tenbury Swimming Club provided Tenbury Community Pool Ltd. (TCP) with a 10 kWp Solar panel system to make electricity from the sun. This saves the pool buying in 8,500 kWh of carbon rich electricity from the grid and provides TCP with an income in excess of £2,000 a year from the Governments Feed in Tariff scheme.
